PROCESS SERVER ASSAULT SB 1053 January 17, 2013

Representing the cause Thomas Lavance and Ronald Ezell. Here is Mr Thomas Lavance oral testimony at the hearing in Arizona. If you are using an unsupported device and it does not automatically play below under the picture you can download the mp3 file directly by clicking the prior link. Lavance starts at 4m:19s in the timeline.

What you will find is well reasoned argument that aggravated assaults are a charging decision. To continue to single out segments of society for "special" protections is not in the best interests of everyone. Mr Lavance testimony told of a story the night before where a process server had a shotgun fired above his head. The legislator properly retorted that "already is aggravated assault." SB 1053 was reported unfavorable.

Arizona is not Tax Exempt and disqualified from recieving funds from a tax exempt entity such as NAPPS. NAPPS is obligated to pay according to IRS rules 41% of it Arizona contribution in taxes. The administrator misreports this and then uses the gain as a contract postion of revenue percentage to contract amount.
